Can we CATCH JOY in our lives? I think the most simple things in life can bring us joy when we use all of our senses. This blog is all about finding and cultivating joy in the midst of the busyness that surrounds us. How can we sift through the everyday routines in order to discover that which brings us joy?

Joy comes in a chilly, windy, wintery day
Today I was amazed at how cold it was outside. The day started off with looming clouds and patchy skies. Some sun, some storm clouds hovering over the purple mountains in the distance. From my house, I love my stunning view of the San Gabriel Mountains. Moisture was on the ground and in the air today - big fat raindrops fell here and there, but never a downpour today. The weather wasn't sure if it wanted to be sunny or cloudy all day; however, it did know that today it wanted to be windy and cold. I love all kinds of weather as long as there's not too much of the same thing. So today in all it's crispness was perfect. Perfect for pruning rose bushes. Perfect for my cats to scamper about and watch the quick moves of the tree squirrels chattering with one another announcing that winter was here to stay for awhile. Birds chirping everywhere in the back yard trees sounding their approval. Nature was happy today and so was I :)
How to Catch Joy!
You know when we're around people who are sick, the chances of getting sick ourselves increases. Likewise, when someone near us yawns, don't we often, if not always, yawn in response. I know I do. Well, the same reciprocal response happens with joy. When we surround ourselves with people who look at the bright side of things and who are generally positive people who love life and love to laugh, the chances of that rubbing off on us increases! That's just how human nature works. We should surround ourselves with people we want to be like in some small or large way if we want to experience more joy. Catch more joy everyday!
